As electrical appliances, temperature sensors, lighting products and industrial control equipment become more compact and power-dense, internal wiring is increasingly exposed to elevated temperatures and limited installation space.
To support these demanding applications, BOLI Electronic offers UL AWM Style 1332 FEP-insulated high-temperature wire. With a typical rating of 300V and 200°C, UL 1332 wire is designed for internal wiring in electrical and electronic equipment where heat resistance, electrical insulation and compact wire construction are important.
UL Style 1332 is a single-conductor Appliance Wiring Material, commonly referred to as AWM wire. It typically uses FEP—Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene—as the insulation material.
Typical UL 1332 characteristics include:
Rated voltage: 300V
Rated temperature: Up to 200°C
Insulation material: FEP
Construction: Single-conductor appliance wiring material
Conductor: Solid or stranded, depending on the approved construction
Application: Internal wiring of electrical and electronic equipment
The conductor size, stranding, insulation thickness, overall diameter and other specifications should always be confirmed according to the approved product construction and final technical datasheet.
FEP is a fluoropolymer material known for its high-temperature capability and reliable electrical insulation performance. Compared with conventional PVC-insulated electronic wire, FEP wire is better suited to high-temperature environments and applications with strict space limitations.
Depending on the selected material grade and product design, FEP-insulated wire can offer:
High-temperature performance
Reliable electrical insulation
Compact overall diameter
Good resistance to many chemicals and solvents
Low-friction insulation surface
Suitability for space-constrained internal wiring
Actual performance should be evaluated according to operating temperature, chemical exposure, installation conditions and the applicable end-product safety requirements.
UL 1332 FEP high-temperature wire can be considered for:
NTC and PTC temperature sensors
Temperature probes and sensor lead wires
Household and commercial appliances
Lighting equipment
Heating and temperature-control systems
Industrial control equipment
Electronic instruments and measuring devices
Small motors, coils and control components
Internal connections near high-temperature areas
Wire selection should not be based on temperature and voltage ratings alone. Engineers should also consider conductor size, current requirements, bending conditions, chemical exposure, flame requirements, termination methods and end-product certification.
